Product Faqs

Q: What are the ideal growing conditions for Maitake mushrooms?
A: Maitake prefers temperatures between 60–75°F and high humidity (85–90%) for fruiting. Indirect light and adequate airflow help support healthy development.

Q: How long does it take to grow Maitake?
A: Colonization takes about 2–3 weeks. Fruiting usually begins within 14–21 days after full colonization, depending on environmental conditions.

Q: Can I grow this outdoors?
A: Indoor growing is best for maintaining a clean and controlled environment. If growing outdoors, use a greenhouse or humidity tent to reduce contamination risk.

Q: How do I cook and store Maitake mushrooms?
A: Harvest by cutting at the base. Store in the fridge in a paper bag. Maitake is excellent roasted, sautéed, or added to soups and broths for deep umami flavor.
