Product Faqs

Q: What environment does Red Reishi need to fruit properly?

A: Red Reishi mushrooms require high humidity (above 85%) and temperatures between 70–80°F to initiate fruiting. They also benefit from indirect natural or ambient light. A humidity tent, monotub, or greenhouse chamber setup is ideal for maintaining proper conditions indoors.

Q: How is Red Reishi different from Antler Reishi?

A: Both are strains of Ganoderma lucidum, but they grow differently based on oxygen levels. Red Reishi develops flat, shelf-like conks, while Antler Reishi forms tall, antler-like branches. This kit is optimized for the classic Red Reishi conk structure, often used in teas and tinctures.

Q: Can I use this grow kit outdoors?

A: This kit is designed specifically for indoor use to ensure a clean, sterile environment and consistent results. Growing outdoors increases the risk of contamination and may expose the substrate to unfavorable weather or pests.

Q: How do I harvest and use Red Reishi mushrooms?

A: Once mature, gently twist and pull the mushroom at the base to harvest. Red Reishi is woody and not typically eaten fresh—it’s best dried and used in herbal preparations like tea, extracts, or tinctures for its immune-supporting benefits.
